Please help\cannot login to PWA

Hi everyone,

Please help, I'm really stuck here. We moved our Project
Server and the SQL Server (on a different box) to a new
location and changed the IP addresses __ but NOT the
Names. Now it seems like the Project server dosnt see the
database. I get this error message when I login to PWA:

Microsoft Project was unable to log you on at this time
because the
Microsoft Project Server database cannot be accessed.
Please try again
later or check with your Microsoft Project Server
administrator.

I checked some of the articles here and tried Q323021 and
Q 324835 on KB. Its still not working. When I use the**
SITE Editor ** utility to create a new _virtual
directory_ it says that it cant create it and when I Test
he old virtual directory __ which is PROJECTSERVER __
the test result is like this:

Virtual directory Passed
MSADC Passed
Registry Passed
Database ** Failed **

I get this even on the new virtual directory that I
create.

What is wrong?

Please help.

Can you ping the db server?

Hi Brian,

Yes I can ping it all right. Could it have anything to do
with DNS? I know we had some problems with that, if the
problem is__ not having access to the SQL server__ Ill
focus on network problems rather than a corrupted
database, could it be?

A corrupted database would likely give you a different kind of message.

I would look at DNS, etc.
