PLEASE HELP: How do you delete embedded files on a project schedul

P

Paul Schaefer

Hi all,

I have a large project schedule I am working on (2000+ tasks) that I
inherited from another PM that no longer works for the company. I know he
embedded artifacts into the schedule and I do not know how to delete them.
Shouldnt they shop up as an icon in the "indicators" column on the left?

Any thoughts?

Thx,

Paul

Paul --

When you say "embedded artifacts," do you mean that the former PM inserted
Word or Excel documents in the project? If this is the case, the Indicators
column does not show you which tasks have inserted files. However, you can
learn which tasks DO have inserted files by temporarily inserting the
Objects column in any task View, such as the Gantt Chart view. The column
tells you how many documents are embedded on each task. To delete the
documents, click Window - Split to open the Task Entry view. In the lower
pane, right-click and select the Objects details. Select a task with
embedded documents and then you can delete them in the lower pane. Let us
know if this is what you mean. Hope this helps.
