Please help! How do you reflect text?

I want to make a sign using stuck on letters. The letters will be cut out of a sheet of plastic with adhesive on one side and has a paper backing, much like the type used to cover books. I want to print letters directly onto the paper side instead of stencilling the letters on but they need to reflected (mirror image) for them to be the right side round when they are used. Pretty much the whole page needs to be reflected at the printing stage. Can this be done?

Some printers can do this directly (eg HP professional inkjets): explore the
nether regions of your printer property dialogs.

All the graphics/layout programs I've used (Corel, Photoshop, etc) can do
it.

If you have the full copy of Acrobat, you can use the Distiller: 'mirrored
output' is one of the advanced options, under PostScript settings. Possibly
the freebie Acrobat clones provide this function also.

You can also do this using WordArt or by converting the text to a picture
(Copy, Paste Special as Picture). There are also mirror-image fonts.
