Please help import data

I am trying to import a comma seperated file.

I go File=>Import and open the file, set the delimeter as comma.

All is well. The problem comes when I try to devine colum headers and
field data types. I can only set these for the 1st column. When I
select other colums in the box displaying the data from the file I am
importing the definitions still on change for the 1st colum. What am I
doping wrong?
