I am trying to do some things on my computer like post to a discussion board
for school and use powerpoint. My computer is saying to install my microsoft
2000 disk. I don't have one. What do I need to do or buy? Thank you.

You need to look at the specific message you're getting. There is no such
thing as "Microsoft 2000". There was an Office 2000 (several editions) and a
Windows 2000. Your computer is telling you what it is you need. Plus
whatever task you are doing that causes that message is a clue. If you turn
the computer on and get that message right away, that is telling you that it
needs it to run properly. If you are trying to use a program, such as
PowerPoint, then it's telling you it needs it to run that program.
(Simplified but hopefully you'll understand.)
