Please help - "publish non-enterprise project" error message

Jason

Please help:
I try to "publish" my project to 2002 project server. I
got this message "You are trying to publish non-enterprise
project to project server". How can I work around with
this?

Thanks.

Your server must be set to accept 'non-enterprise' projects. You can
change this setting under Admin.

Now here's a question - how to make a project an Enterprise Project so
that you can take advantage of the Server features?!!!

Your solution to Jason's problem is no good unless his organization allows
for the publishing of non-enterprise projects, which I doubt they do.
Allowing the publishing of non-enterprise projects would defeat the purpose
of having an enteprise Project Server environment in the first place.

To answer your question, refer to the information in the following link on
how to log into Project Server through Microsoft Project Professional:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Project Server FAQs/pubnonenterprise.htm

Once you are properly logged into Project Server through Microsoft Project,
you can import a non-enterprise project into the Project Server database
using the Import Wizard (Tools - Import Project to Enterprise). Hope this
helps.

When I do a "Save as File" in Project 2002/Project Server
2002, to work on my Enterprise Project at home where I
have Project 2002 Pro, when I return to work and connect
to Project Server and try to open (or import) this same
project, I get this error message, "You are trying to
publish a non-enterprise project to Microsoft Project
Server. The administrator settings on the server do not
allow you to publish non-enterprise projects."

We have also tried the same thing here (Save as File,
etc.) at work and receive the same message.

I would greatly appreciate a solution to this.
