Please Help!

As soon as I open Word 2002 and I touch the template or
try 2 highlight something on the screen I get this
message, Im using xp.

'Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to
close'

Error signature.

AppName: winword.exe AppVer: 10.0.2627.0
Offset: 00877ecd

Help!!

Start Windows in Safe Mode and see if the error occurs. If not then
obtain an updated driver from the manufacturer's web site and see if
that resolves the problem.
