Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) How does one use or operate plug ins on a apple mac machine. On my Pc, I used to have "winzip", and I require a similar program for Macintosh.

Rob has the answer about zipping (and unzipping, too - Mac OS does that
without any extra software needed).

If you zip an Office 2008 file that's saved in the new XML format (has
an x at the end of the file extension) don't be surprised if zipping
does not result in a smaller file. All the XML format files are already
zipped, so zipping them will have a negligible effect, although it is
recommended for sending them as email attachments.
