PM's to view only generic resources

I want our PM's to view only generic resources from enterprise pool. They
request resources through generic resources to resource manager, when the
resources manager assigns and commits the actual resources to the plan. The
PM should see only committed resources along with enterprise generic
resources. Can we achieve this by modifying the security categories? If yes
could you please tell me the exact steps?

Hi Deva,

This is possible. You need to modify the categories so that the PM group
only has access to a category of resources that you'll call "generic"
resources. Depending on whether you use an RBS and where your PMs sit in the
RBS, how you set it up will differ. The answer is too complex to post here,
I suggest reading as many blogs as possible (I think Tony Zinc posted one on
understanding security so I would start there.)
