I currently own a domain name which I don’t use. I have created a subweb on my main site and I would like to point that that is not in use to that subweb. Is that possible

To give you an idea of what I want to do please go to www.thescreensavers.com to see how it lands on http://www.techtv.com/screensavers . Can i acomplish this with FrontPage 2003

Thank you in advanc

You need to contact your host for this to really work well, instead of attempting to have the domain
re-directed to the subweb.

Thank you Thomas for your response. I will contact them asking for this to make it work. My hosting has a great customer support, so it should not be a problem.

If your root directory material is NOT in use, why have it? Why not make
what you presently have in the sub web, your ROOT material?

Or a simple change of your ROOT directory default HTML document to make is a
simple redirect to your SUB WEB would accomplish your desired effect, if it
is your wish to not have people see what is in your ROOT directory by using
the website default first HTML document ( Which in this case is now a
redirect to your subweb)

I use redirects in FP alot. I use them whenever I rename documents or move
to other folders. This is a useful way to keep the links from searech
engines alive when you move the documents they link to, it gives the visitor
a "soft landing". And it keeps the search engine from dropping the material
from its database. Furthrmore, it keeps the BOOKMARKS that various visitors
have created alive so that they can still find your material. I tend to keep
redirects there for moved material for years.
