poll/vote facility on webpage

Does anyone know how to set up a simple poll/vote facility on a webpage.
Something that enables visitors to the site to vote on an issue by clicking
and then getting a simple graph of the results so far?

As far as I can tell, you'll have to buy a poll script for your site.
Most use DB components to store results. I've seen one that uses
standard text file storage at http://www.extrafrontpage.com
