POP settings in Outlook 2002 keep reverting back to defaults?

I am using OL 2002 SP3 with Win XP Home. I have two POP mail accounts and I
checked the "leave on server" box so that emails remain on the server after
they are downloaded by Outlook.

On one account, the "leave on server" box keeps unchecking itself. On the
other account, it remains checked as it should.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Forgot to mention that I did delete the bad mail account and created a new
one, and this problem happened again.
