pop up window

i wish to create a pop up window when a button is pushed which ask
users to enter in a value this value is then stored in a cell. Is thi
possible? thanks in advanc

Excuse me for butting in here but I would like to know where exactly you
write the formula Don posted. I'm thinking its not on the sheet
right?...something to do with a macro ...can someone walk me through this
please.
