Populate drop down lists in Access

harry t.

I haven't done this situation in forever, and I'm trying to figure out what I
need to do to accomplish this.

I'm trying to use Access 2003. I'm trying to set up 2 drop down boxes in a
form, and the second drop down box selections is dependent upon what's
selected in the first.

For example, if I have a pre-defined set of categories in the first drop
down, the user can select a category, and for the second drop down, it
filters what comes up in the second drop down so that it's specific to the
category they selected in the first drop down.

There was a posting earlier this week that is quite similar to my problem,
but I'm not dealing with FrontPage on this. It's strictly within Access
2003.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Harry

You might be better off posting to an Access specific ng
You might make life easier for yourself if you used the default Outlook
Express Newsreader and connected to the msnews.microsoft.com account

I assume your second drop down will have multiple selections, when its
filtered by the first?
