Populate login name and date/time stamp

I have a table named SubIssueLog with columns, ID, Status,
LoginName and DateTimeStamp. This table contains updates
to the main issue in the IssueLog table. How can I auto
populate the LoginName field with the Novell sign-on. How
can I also automatically date/time stamp the update?

Use an update query that updates the fields within the table with the
variable for the login name and Now() for the datetimestamp

Is there a way to do it right as they are updating the
