Populating a Chart with Data on a DAP in Access

I am creating a DAP based on a form. However, I would like to be able to
enter a new record and then have a chart created based off of not only the
data previously in the DB but also the new data that was just entered. Is
there a way that this can be done? When I go to select the data source for
the chart, it seems to be either data entered by the user or data already in
the DB, so I don't know if I would need a special code to do this. Any help?
