Populating subform with parent's primary key on Popup and NEW record.

Been browsing the net all night for this, and I see the idea floating around, but the answers are just not hitting the mark.

2 forms. Parent and Child. Normally the child is a subform of the parent, but now I want the Child to be a popup form.

I can put a button the parent form to popup the supposedly child form in EDIT MODE, and everything works.

Now if I try to change the Openform control to ADD, then the Parent's Primary Key is not automatically updated on the child from, nor does a TEMPVAR pass the value. Is there something else I am missing?
