PopUp Window source problem

I have been writing all my web pages with FrontPage2000 (Win98) and have run
into a few problems that all seem to have the same root. The most recent (and
urgent) one involves a Java script pop-up window. I have no problem with the
window (I've written it with codes from several sources including Jimco's
Spawn) BUT I can only get the file to load if the address is a web address.
It will open the window but not load the page if the file exists on the local
drive only. The problem with this is that I am using Internet Explorer and
html files WRITTEN TO CD to distribute a new product catalog. I need the
pop-up window to load the file from the cd (which of course will be a
different drive letter for different users). Any
ideas?

Please give an example of the link you are trying to use (and which fails)
to open the pop-up window. Copy the link from HTML view.

Per your other thread you will need to advise users of Win XP SP2 to reset their security settings to trusted before using your CD
IMHO
- just don't use any automatic popups
