Charlie in Virginia Beach

I need to put numerous documents on a CD with a hyperlinked index. How can I
make these links "portable" when the CD drives on different PCs may not
adjust to drive path differences?

As long as the documents remain in the same path relative to the index,
simply remove the drive letter in the link.
