Portfolio Analyzer Views Using Assignment Dimensions

I am trying to create Analyzer views using Assignment RBS but I see the RBS
structure and No Value, but all the data appears to be associated with the No
Value area and not with an element of the Assignment RBS structure. How do I
setup the data in a project plan so I can use this structure? I am confused.

I guess the question that comes to mind is "why don't you just use the
Resource RBS outline code?" which should already be part of the OLAP cube.
Your results should be the same as if you were using the assignment RBS field.

The software was designed such that Assignments inherit enterprise outline
codes from resources (the definitions but not values). Since the RBS is a
resource enterprise outline code, the same code is an attribute of each
assignment. The problem you encountered is that the values for the codes are
not automatically populated for each assignment - nor should they be required
since resource outline codes are already part of the base OLAP generation
process. The assignment outline codes in the OLAP cube are generally
leveraged to get task outline code information into the base OLAP cube
without having to extend the process - although a macro is required to do
this.

That is exactly what I am trying to do. I created a task outline code and
related it to a resource outline code. I used a macro and see the structure
in the OLAP cube; however, there are no values associated with the structure.
This led me to look at the out-of-the-box assignment structures (Assignment
RBS) which also has the structure but no values, hence my question. What am
I missing in the process? I have data for the tasks, so I would expect to
see data against the contrived assignments structure in OLAP but don't. Any
thoughts on that?
