Portfolio Analyzer

I believe there is a way to save a link in the Portfolio Analyzer after
making changes to the pivot tables - such as, adding new fields and or data
elements.

However, the "save link" button does not appear to be available from the
Portfolio Analyzer page. Is this function something that is enabled in
security or by some other method? Thanks!

If you are using Project Server 2007, the Save Link button is no longer
available. Hope this helps.

Actually - still on 2003. I've seen it before on other instances but it's
just no there on this one....perhaps b/c they are not on sp2a?

Thanks for your help Dale!

I have taught four classes in the last four weeks using the SP2a version of
Project Server 2003, and the Save Link button was present in each instance.
At the top of the Portfolio Analyzer page, there should be a light blue
toolbar with buttons such as PivotTable, Chart, Save PivotTable as GIF, etc.
At the left end of this toolbar, you should see the Save Link button. Let
us know what you see.

I fixed this. Someone made customizations to the menus from server
configuration and wiped out this button. I ran scripts to restore the menus
as defaults and the button is back. The Portfolio Analyzer is kind of
useless if you can't save view changes.

Thanks for your response.

Thanks for sharing the resolution to the problem. Yes, I totally agree
about the need to save customized Portfolio Analyzer views. You will be sad
to know that Microsoft removed the Save Link button in Project Server 2007.
Hope this helps.
