Portfolio Modeler error

P

Peter Jakab

I try to post my problem again, hoping someone had a problem like mine, in a
non English implementation of Proj 2K2.

We cannot create models. After pressing Next on the first page of model
creation, we receive an error like "Unexpected error, see your system
administrator".
After pressing OK on the message, and canceling the creation process, a
record is created in the MSP_WEB_MODELS table, but the record is corrupt.
We have a 2 server environment (srv1: projsrv, STS;srv2: SQL Server,
analyzis services), both having hungarian defaults (operating system,
database: Hungarian CI_AS).

After setting up the modeler to log into file, in the error log I see:

Hi

I had the same message with the Portfolio Modeler when I clicked the
'Next' button.
I think the fix for this was as follows ...
In the 'Security' section of SQL Server change the default database
for the users 'ProjectServer' and 'ProjectServerUser', from 'Master'
to 'ProjectServer'.
Hope that Helps.

Stuart.

That's Great, Stuart!

It works! The default DB was the STS database, setting the defaults to
ProjectServer solved the problem!

Thanks a lot,

Best regards

Peter
