We have installed Portfolio Server SP2 in our DEV environment and have found
that several of the items slated as fixed in the service pack in reality
showing a different more non-descript error message for the same error that
was supposed to be fixed in the release.
For example, Task names that exceed 100 characters are not supposed to
return an error after installing SP2, now receive an error that charachters
exceed limits.
Another example is that special characters were supposed to be not allowed
in Portfolio to match Project Server requirements and when you create a
project name for the idea portfolio allows some of the special characters
besides _ or - but does not allow others, so in this case reduces the number
of special characters allowed.
Has anyone seen other issues with this release, and do you still recommend
installing the service pack?
