Portion of a sound clip

How do you play only a portion of a sound clip in PowerPoint? For
example......to use the song "Walk This Way" from Aerosmith, how do you make
the sound clip start just as they say "Walk This Way".

Although PPT has a "start playing from" option, it doesn't work in all
versions of PPT. It's best to edit the sound in a sound editor, because PPT
really pretty much plays sounds "as is."

Audacity is often mentioned as a good, free sound editor.

Finally, make sure you have appropriate copyright permissions before using
any commercial sounds.
