Position of the formatting palette

My formatting palette is vertical, I want it to be like a normal horizontal tool bar but I can't figure out how to do this. Help, it is so annoying.

Doesn't work that way. Palette's aren't "normal" toolbars - they are
vertically arranged only.

As a poor substitute, you could create a custom toolbar with dropdown
menus for each section of the palette, but you'd have to write your own
events macros to make them context sensitive as the FP is.
