I have Pub 2007 installed on Win XP. I change mine with Windows display
properties. I think you will find that if you get too "fancy", you'll find
it irritating/distracting in a short while. Keep it simple.

Thats exactly what i want to do... keep it simple. i don't like cleartype
(already found where i can turn it off, but as i c, its only affects document
look, and not the interface), and neither this calibri font...
The be honest, i simply hate the look of outlook with that font. Verdana was
MUCH easier the recognize, and had a much better look (of course thats
subjective) but maybe only at higher resolutions...

thanks for your answer

Hi Zsolt,

For the ribbons the font choices are pretty much built into the interface to help insure that it spaces things 'correctly'.

Thank you Bob.

The only 2007 program I have installed right now is Publisher. Since it
doesn't use the ribbon interface, I was able to change it with my Windows
settings.

But the interface font for Office 2007 is Segoe UI, not Calibri. Calibri is
the default document font in most (all?) the Office apps. (And in previous
versions, the UI font was Tahoma, not Verdana, although the two are
apparently related. See
http://blogs.msdn.com/jensenh/archive/2005/11/16/493388.aspx )

But I don't know how to change it -- unless you want to try moving the Segoe
UI fonts from the Windows\Fonts folder. No guarantee that won't royally
screw things up, though. Or maybe edit the registry. Same "no guarantee,"
though, and I didn't find any promising keys to change when I searched for
Segoe in mine just now.
