Posting Calculated Data to a Table

Hello,

I am using Access 2000

Having done a series of calculations through an UpDate query I want to post
the results in a Table truncated to 2 decimal places.

Essentially I have annual figures which I want to allocate monthly.

I have tried using the number formats available and also the 'ROUND'
function when making the calculations.

Whatever I have tried the number in the Table is the 'underlying' value
although it is displaying the formatted value.

QUESTION: Is there any way I can post data as a 2 decimal number?

Many thanks for your help.

This causes problems when I use the table to produce further analysis and
reports

Use the Round function in your Update query?

Mr Barton,

Thank you for your reply to my question.
I had already tried the ROUND function in the query but it did not work.
On your suggestion I retried the ROUND function and it did work!
I must have done something wrong the first time round, but thank you again
for your help

If you have a query that generates the properly-formatted values (for
display), why not use that query as the source of whatever other
display/analysis you want to do. You aren't limited to using tables as a
source for queries, forms, reports, etc.

If you update the table, you lose the precision you originally captured.
