Posting Documents to Outlook 2003 Favorites

We currently are running, on WinXP PC's, Office XP
(except Outlook, which is 2003). If we try to send a
document to a public folder using File - Send To -
Exchange Folder - Public Folders - All Public Folders,
the operation works with no trouble; however, if we send
to that same public folder using File - Send To -
Exchange Folder - Public Folders - Favorites, Word
encounters fatal errors and has to close, but the
document still gets sent. My questions are these:

1. Should there be a problem posting documents to
Favorites folders; i.e., is that something we shouldn't
even be trying to do;

2. If there's a way to make this work properly so Word
doesn't die every time this is attempted, could someone
please help me out with this?
