iTunes files are .m4p. PPT doesn't insert them.

You have to convert the .m4p to something PPT can deal with -- MP3 or WAV
are good choices.

You need to be aware of copyright issues when you're working with iTunes and
other commercial music.

I not looking to do anything illegal I just wanted to know if you could
convert these files. If it illegal I won't even bother. I was trying to put
a presentation together for a freinds wedding nothing more.

You'll need to check copyrights, but I personally think you'd be better off
purchasing some royalty free background music. You can find lots via Google.

As for converting iTunes, you can create an audio CD of the iTunes and then
rip the files to your harddrive. Audacity is a good free sound editor that
should be able to rip music from CD to MP3/WAV.

And iTunes itself has an option to convert to MP3, but I don't think it
really works because of the digital rights management (DRM) stuff encoded
into the files. See
http://www.askbobrankin.com/convert_itunes_to_mp3_format.html for more info
or Google "convert iTunes to MP3" (without the quotation marks).
