When I try to open an existing presentation from either the
file menu or the folder icon, I receive an error message.
The message is "unexpected error occurred I/O error 6".
This occurs two times then the message"error occurred while
creating file dialog. Please save, exit and restart
powerpoint". I have been running application for about 2
years w no problem. Today, uninstalled and reinstalled
Office. Same prob exists. Anyone know cause - cure? Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin,
Here is a link to a PPT FAQ page that contains a link to the Microsoft page
with your solution:
"An unexpected error occurred - I/O Error 0" or "An unexpected error
occurred - I/O Error 6"
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00375.htm

(FYI: The Microsoft link is too long to put in a post, that's why I am
giving you the FAQ link.)
