Power Point and Excel Crashes

I use MS Office 2007 Power Point and Excel and when I close each application,
I receive the message the application is not responding - windows is checking
for solutions.
Can anyone provide any help on this isssue?

have you done/ran Microsoft Office diagnostics? (Office button,
<application name>Options, Resources, Diagnose button)

Yes I ran the MS Office diagnostics and reported no problems. Thank you
