Power Point.. AVI or other

Hi Everyone, I am looking for ideas on making a almost
animated.. self contained movie... if you will .. kind of
like a cartoon.. where I can present information.. while
the presentation is running.. (I would obviously have to
sync or time the presentation.. so my discussion.. relates
the avi.. or self running movie-presentation... can this
be done in powerpoint?
