Power Point downloads

I've received emails with PP attachements but neither PP 2003 nor 2007 will
not open them....I get a message that says...."This file does not have a
program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association
in the Folders Option control panel".

Can someone help this beginning techie.....PLEASE.

If that doesn't work, try saving the files to your hard drive first, then
opening them.

What Lucy said but also.....

make sure the file has a 3 letter file extension.

eg.

myfilename.ppt

or

myfilename.pptx for powerpoint 2007

on most computers the 3 letter file extension is not 'shown' by default
