Power point freezing

Hi,

I have windows xp and windows xp profession office. I am
creating a power point presentation. I have chinese
language characters that I am copying and pasting into
slides and on the third slide or so it freezes up. I can
do this with no problem on windows NT but for some reason
power point freezes when I am copying and pasting chinese
characters in there. I have no problem with word and
chinese characters. Does anyone know what the problem
might be. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
