Power point hyperlink limitation

I

ibrahim

I am currently working on special assignment using MS Power Point,
The PP file that is being created is almost 1,000 slides and in each slide
there should around 90 hyperlinks.
Due to this planned big # of hyperlinks, I noticed that after creating
approximately 30,000 hyperlinks for about 300 slides and save the file at
this stage, close the file and then re-open it again, part of the hyperlinks
disappear and even after re-doing the creation of hyperlinks and saving /
closing / re-opening the file, the same thing happens as if it is accepting
only limited # of hyperlinks.

could help please

hi Ibrahim,

You may want to use the link below to post directly to the Powerpoint newsgroup. When posting there be sure to mention the version
you're using and some background on how you're planning to use the 1,000 slide presentation. (It doesn't sound like you're planning
to have it be someone sits through for a single, 1,000 slide, show).

Yes, this is a known issue with PPT. There is a set amount of storage space
for hyperlinks, and once you've hit that limit, strange things start to
happen.

See Lost hyperlinks, hyperlinks link to wrong place, hyperlinks stop working
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00401.htm for workarounds.
