Power Point slide views

I¹m a new user and have Office 2004. I would like to have the Power Point
view option of seeing the full slide on the right and small versions of the
slides on the left (thumbnail versions I guess) large enough to see so
you can easily click on the slide you want.....sorta like the view in
Presenter view.

My PPT in Windows PC had this view under Normal....where is it in the Mac
version?

I'd like to add another request to that - how do I see the small views of the layouts on the left when in Master view.

I'm finding using the product very frustrating because when I seek help from Friends I find the mac version is "different" from the PC one and the MS site doesn't seem to help becuase all the on-line How-to's for any version except 2008 seem to have been "hidden" - And the 2008 version seems to be significantly different.

Hi Peggy -

PPt 2004 does not have the Slides Panel feature - only the Outline Panel,
which appears on the left when in Normal View. However, you can still use
the Outline Panel or navigation from slide to slide.

The Slides Panel has been added in Mac PPt 2008.

That panel isn't in PPt 2004 because multiple Masters is not a directly
supported feature - hence no need for the panel. You'll find significant
improvements to dealing with Masters if you upgrade to Office 2008.

Try this: Open up the file, and set it to Slide view. Then Open up the
file again (without closing the original one) and click "OK" when it
asks you to open as "Read Only." Set that second window to Slide
Sorter view, set the Zoom to 100% or whatever you prefer, and position
each window next to each other as needed.

This trick also works in Word e.g. if you want to open the same file
but look at two different pages or two different views of the same
document.

If you want to arrange two (or more) presentation windows cleanly side
by side, add the "Arrange All" icon to your toolbar. Under Tools menu>
Customize> Commands tab> All Commands> select Arrange All and drag it
to your toolbar. Click this button when you have 2 presentations open
(or one presentation open in 2 views) and they will snap nicely next
to each other.

Thanks for trying to help...but the problem persists...I checked and there
are no graphics getting the way..no animation at all. I switched the
ŒGrayscale¹ setting to Grayscale and the back to Automatic...still the same
....and in the Output settings they are set to color which is what the
printer is set to.....

I¹m stumped...any more ideas?
