I suspect this is an issue with the PPT masters. What I don't know is why
it's cropped up so often lately.
Changing the slide placeholder from a placeholder to a "regular" textbox
(i.e., one not tied to the master) should resolve it. To do that, type in
your text where it says "click to add text" and format it, the select the
box, copy it and paste it on the slide. Delete the original.
Alternatively, changing the slide layout to either "blank" or "title only"
should do the trick also.
