power point will not play wav. files

anyone give me a clue.
i can not get PW to reconize wav. files.
looks like the only thing PW lloks for is sound files?
do i need to convert these wav files to another format? if so what ? and
whats a good converter?

PowerPoint does play sound files in wav format.
Try to embed the sound by reading the quick fix here and see if it works:

Also, take note that if you are linking the wav file, you should place the
sound in the same folder as the ppt file before you insert the sound into the
presentation.

Can you explain what you mean it doesn't recognize them? Are they available
from the explorer widow list?
