PowerPoint 2000 Read-Only setting

How can create a read-only file in PowerPoint 2000. When I go into the Tool menu and select Option, there is no Security setting for me to select. Is this because it can not be done in PowerPoint 2000?

Powerpoint 2000 does not have a security or password setting.
