Powerpoint 2001 Freeze due to OS 9.2.2. base extension conflict.

I have Office 2001 for Mac and run it in O.S. 9.2.2 All components of
Office work fine except Powerpoint. It is also fine too, except that
after I run a slide show and leave slide view it freezes the computer
(everything except the pointer). It is definitely an extension
conflict with something in the system software itself. When I shut
off the extensions, it is fine. When I run it from OSX, in classic
mode, it is also fine. Definitely a conflict with something in the OS
9.2.2 base set of extensions. Sure would appreciate advice on this
one! Thanks.

Hi

I don't know of any conflicts between Office and MacOS, and rather doubt
there are any. Surely in the past 3 years someone would have noticed
something like this.

Try some basic system troubleshooting. Freezes are usually memory related.
Try allocating more RAM to PowerPoint's preferred setting in Finder's Get
Info.
