Powerpoint 2002 Sound Files

I'm working with a slide show, trying to insert a sound file. When I go to
the area where my music is stored, it doesn't show. What formats will PP
support?

It would be easier for you to tell us what file type you have. However, when
you go to Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from File, you can look in the box
labeled Files of type and you'll see the accepted file types.
