PowerPoint 2003 and Word table bug

I have some Word tables in a PP presso, which opne and
close perfectly well in PP 2000 and XP.

But in PP 2003, they open OK, but when they close, the
tables resizes to a large size and half of it is cut off.

Is this a PP 2003 bug?

Is there a work around?

I don't know if it will help, but it's worth trying the patch that is
available to correct problems that have been identified with some
presentations created in PowerPoint 2000 and opened in PowerPoint 2003. It
is available at

I thought that one might be related as its the same type
of problem, so I installed it today.

Unfortunately it doesn't fix it.
