PowerPoint 2003 on XP is sluggish and does not work correctly whe.

When I double click on a .ppt file then it brings up PowerPoint 2003 (Office
SP1), but moving through the presentation file is sluggish and some graphics
do not show up correctly or do not show up at all.

If instead I open PowerPoint, then open the same .ppt file then everything
works just fine.

I am using Windows XP and the latest Office 2003 service pack on a Dell
computer with a 3GHz CPU and 512M of memory.
