While using PowerPoint 2003 I'm having an issue with it becoming extremely
slow, to the point it almost seems like it hangs. I've reviewed several
technet articles and implemented the appropriate fixes. Everything on my XP
Pro laptop is up to date, I've installed all SP's and Hot Fixes for Office,
but I'm still having the problem. This is a new Sony laptop plenty of HDD
space, RAM and CPU power, the only thing I've had some success with is lower
my video acceleration. This worked for me while I was on our office network
but once I got home it again happens. The files I'm using are local to my
HDD. I just can't figure out why it will start slowing down to the point I
have to do a reboot to get it functioning again.
