Powerpoint 2003

I have Office 2003 and I am creating a presentation. I cannot use "insert
hyperlink". It is grayed out. Why is that so. I would like to create a
hyperlink to a file within the drive I am working with, but cannot figure out
why I do not have the option. Any answers. Novice at work here.

Try to make a textbox and then insert the hyperlink in the textbox

Hi Novice

Do you have anything selected when trying to add a hyperlink? Also, you must
have text in a placeholder (the box where it says 'click here to add
text/title') in order to hyperlink from it.

when you want to insert a heperlink ,you should select something you
want to set up the heperlink.
