Powerpoint 2007 constantly freezing

C

Cassie Ford

I have a large slide - formatted to print out as a poster, with several excel 2007 charts in it. When I try to move the chart, the program freezes and I have to force quit. Someone else editing this slide on a different computer had the same problem. However, I also edited it a different computer and it didn't crash once.

Please help, this is beyond frustrating. Also, excel has been running more slowly ever since this PPT problem started.

I ran a diagnostics test, made sure my Windows updates were up to date and did a check disk - all came back clean.

We had this issue and applied the patch...only to learn that the patch causes
PowerPoint to crash when you have multiple files open and there is no fix!

According to Microsoft support, Microsoft is looking at the possibility of
issuing another patch at the end of October. However, since I was only the
10 customer that was complaining of this issue the odds are not in our favor
of another patch.

My CEO already wants to go to Mac's, and this does not help my cause!
