powerpoint 2007 crashing

My internet supplier has automatically replaced the Norton antivirus he
provided with mcafee security centre.

Now if i try to import pictures into a powerpoint file, the programme
crashes without error messages.

Any ideas how to fix it.

I run XP professional SP3.
