Powerpoint 2007 no longer able to create pdf file

Windows XP did an automatic update last night, but it wasn't
automatic; in the morning I had to power down, then up again. Now I am
unable to create a pdf file from powerpoint.

Any advice? Here's the text file it created:

%%[ Error: limitcheck; OffendingCommand: imageDistiller ]%%
