Powerpoint 2007

When I use the Save as PDF or XPS feature in Powerpoint 2007 to create a PDF,
my 900K Powerpoint file becomes a 1.8M PDF file.
How can I reduce the size of the output ? The "minimum size" option does not
produce an acceptable level of quality for me to use.
