Powerpoint 2008 crashes upon launching, have done all upgrades

I recently upgraded to version 12.2.1 on my G5, this was done Friday August 21st. When I launch 2008, it crashes almost immediately, I have dowloaded service packs 1&2 as well. Attached is the error message, it states that I am only operating on version 12.2.0, even though I downloaded 12.2.1. I have already uninstalled Powerpoint 2008 and reloaded several times, please help, thank you.

The 12.2.1 update did not directly modify any of the apps, so their version
numbers did not change. Launch one of the other apps, take a look in the
app's menu at the About____ screen & you should see 12.2.0 indicated as the
version plus 12.2.1 shown as most recent update.

Have you repaired disk permissions & restarted since applying the updates?
That may correct the problem.

If all else fails, you could uninstall and reinstall the software providing that you have the CD and product key.
The 12.2.1 update did not directly modify any of the apps, so their version
numbers did not change. Launch one of the other apps, take a look in the

version plus 12.2.1 shown as most recent update.
